“We have a fun, family atmosphere,” says Colleen Michaels, who helps oversee the Medina location on Route 18, just east of I-71. “We have people who come in during the week with the kids for a great dinner at a great price, then come back on the weekends with friends to hang out on the back patio.”The patio, she adds, is the “best in town,” where young and younger can kick back with a draft beer—or a draft root beer—and perform karaoke or even play in the sand. “We’re not a corporate chain and all of our food is homemade,” Colleen promises. “We serve hand-cut fair fries and homemade onion rings. We roll our own sauerkraut balls and stuff our own pepper poppers.”On Tap is one of the few places where you’ll find homemade Chicklaki—marinated chicken thigh meat, grilled and served with “On Tap” sauce, for $7.49.
