About the Author: Vicki Stracensky is a multiple Emmy award-winning/nominated director at Fox 8 in Cleveland, Ohio. Working in the media and seeing many stories of children getting hurt has made her committed to instilling in her children how important it is to be safe. She wants to launch her writing career to educate and help her children and other children as well. Vicki lives in Medina, Ohio, with her husband, John, and her awesome children, Matthew, Daniel, Mollie, and Evan.

About the Illiustrator: Dick Goddard, who just turned 80 this year, is the chief meteorologist at Fox 8 in Cleveland, Ohio. With an AMS seal of 45 years, he is one of the longest active members of the American Meteorological Society. Dick is a huge advocate for animals, and his popularity, care, compassion, and generosity have helped animal organizations in Northeast Ohio throughout the years. Dick is also the host of the annual Woollybear Festival which is held every fall in Vermillion, Ohio. Over 100,000 people and their pets take part in this event, making it one of the largest single-day events in the United States.
