Recommendations Policy

Mimi's policy regarding the posting of recommendations is simple: Be encouraging.

This policy stems from Mimi's mission "to preserve business diversity" by helping and supporting locally owned businesses, and from her life philosophy "to treat people like ladies and gentlemen." If your experience at a local business was disappointing, please tell the owner. If your experience was a good one...tell EVERYBODY!

Here are some simple guidelines to help ensure that your recommendation is appropriate:

  • Recommendations are not "reviews." Please post a recommendation only if you want to encourage others to support the business.
  • All recommendations should be supportive. Rude comments, disparaging remarks about staff members, abusive language, and curse words will be edited or deleted.
  • If you have had a disappointing experience at a local business and do not wish to share your comments directly with the owner/manager, tell us and we'll pass your comments along to the appropriate person anonymously. Remember, negative feedback is a good thing if its purpose is to help others improve.
  • No ranting (by the way, the origin of the word "rant" is ranten, which meant "to talk foolishly").

Thank you for visiting MimiDeals.com and for your understanding and support of Mimi's mission. Together we can push back the tide of national chain homogeneity and fill our communities with diverse, quality, locally owned businesses.
